A Look Back on 2012

2012 was an amazing and special year.  We celebrated our 85th anniversary jam packed with fun events, highly reviewed new products, fabulous photo shoots, wonderful write ups in the press, and more.  This post is a retrospective on 2012 - and a testimonial to all of our customers who made everything possible!

PRODUCT LAUNCHES

We just keep on adding to our beauty line.  This year we debuted two new products to complement our cream Celebre Pro HD Makeup Foundation (which is LOVED by celebrity makeup artists such as those for The Voice and Housewives of Orange County): Celebre Pro HD Pressed Powder, which is available in the same 20 shades as the cream foundation, and Celebre Pro HD Loose Mineral Finishing Powder.

Together they create a flawless canvas to highlight Mehron's new iNtense Pro Pressed Pigments - super, long lasting matte finish shadows in an array of bright, edgy and sophisticated colors.

We thank you for the wonderful responses to these products - which  continuously sold out at the trade shows and were featured in numerous testimonials and reviews.  Other products we launched this year include: the Face Kabuki, Mini Makeup Brush Set, Brow/Liner Pencils, the revamped Dancer Premium Makeup Kit, Paradise Glitter and GlitterMark Glitter Gels in Black, and Mark Reid's Fantasy Cats, a collection of designs and step-by-step directions.

EXCITING EVENTS          

As in the past, Mehron played a part on the runway creating the makeup looks for the collections of Falguni and Shane Peacock, Venexiana, and Reem Acra at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, as well as Anne Bown at Bridal Fashion Week.

There were also wonderful things happening at The Mehron Studio, including intimate classes with renowned body painters and makeup artists Jinny Houle, Mark Reid and Roque Cozzette.   

And of course there were the trade shows - IMATS LA and NYC; The Makeup Show in Chicago, NYC and LA; and FABAIC 2012.  We had a great time meeting everyone who came to our brand new booth to learn about our products or to take in a demonstration.  

2012 also saw the debut of the Mehron Fashion Week Makeup Video Contest, which was won by Krista Morgan.  A big shout out to all of the contestants - we just love seeing what you can achieve using our products.  

We also want to congratulate Spencer Tunick for another amazing body art installation, which featured our Liquid Makeup and LUX Airbrush Makeup, to mark the opening of the 2012 Munich summer opera season. 

PHOTO SHOOTS

Mehron products are continuously being used for photo, film and television shoots.  A couple of intriguing shoots in 2012 included one for black light makeup by Joao Carlos that featured our Fantasy FX Makeup and the ultra-trendy fashionzine FOURCEmag.com - check out the amazing video.

We are so excited that our products are recommended by consumer and trade publications. This year we saw Mehron's name in print in such magazines and websites as Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, People Style Watch, Seventeen, Women's Day, Women's World, Flare, The Knot, Makeup Artist Magazine, Beauty Launchpad, Beauty Store Business, Beauty Industry, and Makeup.com.  We are committed to continually creating and providing new, quality products you can trust and go to for your cosmetics needs.
